NEW JERSEY SQUIRREL CONTROL

Glassboro (856)863-4168 • Cherry Hill (856)667-4407

Moorestown (856)235-1643

In New Jersey there are three species of Squirrels that cause problems for homeowners and properties. Everyone knows about the Grey Squirrel and the problems it causes entering homes and buildings, resulting in damage that cost thousands of dollars annually in NJ.  Yet there is another little squirrel that causes as much if not more problems for the NJ home and property owners, the Flying Squirrel. This “little squirrel of the night” is many times missed and thought to be mice by the pest controller, homeowners and less experienced wildlife control operators, because of the time of night the sounds are heard and the dropping size being close to mice droppings. Both the Grey Squirrel and the little Flying Squirrel are found throughout the whole state of NJ, and both can be found in the same home or building. The little Red Pine Squirrel is the 3rd squirrel that causes problems, not known about as much. This little squirrel is found in the areas that contain pines trees in large quantities, like Northern New Jersey and along the Southern counties of the Pine Barrens. It is best known for the non-stop chattering when alarmed. I started to work with squirrels in the 80’s.   ACP Wildlife Control Services has controlled and solved Human/Wildlife Squirrel conflicts with methods like live trapping squirrels, squirrel exclusion and other proven methods of squirrel control backed by sound wildlife management practices for years. I have spoken nationally to the Wildlife Control Industry on The Control of Squirrels The Habits and Behavior Way and The 6 Phases of The Grey Squirrel.   I have worked doing squirrel removal in many states developing the squirrel control program that has been adopted by many in the wildlife control field.  I am called “The Squirrel Man”.

ACP Wildlife Control Services 856 863 4168 does a large volume in squirrel control and squirrel removal in Southern New Jersey.  ACP Wildlife Control Services knows how to remove squirrels from your attic, structure or building. ACP also knows how to control squirrels so they do not continue to cause problems in the homes, attics and buildings.

The Gloucester County- (856)863-4168 city/towns that ACP does a large amounts of squirrel removal and squirrel control are in Clarksboro, Clayton, Deptford, Franklinville, Gibbstown, Glassboro, Logan, Pitman, Swedesboro, Washington Township, Wenonah, Williamstown and Woodbury.  These city/towns are all hot spots for squirrel /human conflicts.

ACP Wildlife Control Services also controls squirrels and does squirrel removal in Camden County-  (856) 667 4407 these are the city/towns Atco, Berlin, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Haddonfield, Pennsauken, Sicklerville, Voorhees and Winslow to mention a few
are major squirrel problem areas.

Burlington County- (856)235-1643 is also high on the
list of squirrel removal and squirrel control because of the squirrels in attics and structures, ACP knows how to remove squirrels in towns like
Burlington, Marlton, Medford, Mt Holly, Mt Laurel, Moorestown,
North Hanover, Palmyra, Shamong, Southampton, Tabernacle, Taunton Lakes, and Westampton
.
This area is fast becoming a squirrel problem area where
the company you choose to work for you needs to know how to remove squirrels.

ACP Wildlife Control Services (856)235 1643, also covers
the Princeton and Hamilton Square
areas, in these
older areas with squirrel problems the company must also know how to control squirrels and how to solve the problem not just trapping squirrels  and or chase them out of the structure.

WILDLIFE REMOVAL

Grey Squirrels are the most recognized squirrel for causing damage here in New Jersey.   Matter fact, there are few places in the state of NJ that this squirrel is not seen running around, so it is the most thought of.   Thirty plus years ago when I started to provide squirrel removal/exclusion as a service, the main reason a Squirrel entered a home was because there was an existing hole in the structure; it is possible that a Raccoon ripped a hole in the structure or in many cases the roof line was in bad shape.   In those days Squirrels built their nests with leaves and twigs and mainly lived in trees. Today the Grey Squirrel seeks out houses and building to live in. The Squirrel simply chews a hole in to the structure that they want to live in. (The newer the home the easier it is to get in).  Why do they want to live in homes and building? The simplest reason is, todays Squirrels do not know anything different.  You see once a Squirrel is born in an attic or wall space that is what they know.  The nesting material is the insulation no longer twigs and leafs.  And after years of Squirrels being born in home and buildings this has become their natural instinct they have gained to live in and raise their young.  Many of today’s Squirrel control methods that are being used, especially with the newer control companies whether they know it or not, use methods that I came out with in talks and industry training some 20 years ago.  This training is still used by many as an industry foundation. The 6 Phases of The Grey Squirrel, Controlling Squirrels The Habits and Behavior Way, along with methods that others developed across the country back in that time era.  Grey Squirrels are family groups.  The female enters the building for one reason, to raise young.   When ACP comes to a building we never think one squirrel. The average per family group is 4 to 7.  Also we think what was here before this group and will they want to come back.  A true wildlife professional never thinks one. We think how we can solve this problem long term.  ACP does not charge per Squirrel, our goal is to solve the whole problem from start to finish.  Our control methods always include removal of the problems unless the customer is set on exclusion (fast time) job.  If the problem is taken away, then it cannot chew back in like it did the first time.  We do offer exclusion (quick service) which we will try to talk the customer out of (one-way doors which is the most used methods by pest controller and newer companies).   We offer our clients two programs, the 1st one is a 1 Year Warranty on the removal of the Squirrels and Animal Proofing on entry only or a 2 Year Warranty with the removal of Squirrels and Animal Proofing on Whole home.

If you want a seasoned and experience company to do your Squirrel work give us a call!

WILDLIFE CONTROL

Red Pine Squirrels are the least dealt with Squirrel here in New Jersey.  Once this Squirrel was very common, yet it is not so common today in homes and buildings, unless you are in the deep pine areas like the northern parts of North Jersey and along the Pine Barrens in the southern part of the state.  This Squirrel can be a real pain to control; with the size of this little squirrel bigger than a Flying Squirrel yet smaller than a Grey Squirrel. The entry points will be golf ball size to baseball depending on how much this little devil squirrel wants to chew and how long they have lived in the structure. It is not uncommon for other companies that have never dealt with this little red devil to be completely baffled with them. Many times the entry point is so well hidden that a ladder and roof inspection is a must.  They are also a family group squirrel; 4 to 10 is expected per job. They also have a strong territory instinct. Most of the time there will not be another species of Squirrel in the same house or structure because of instinct of the Red Pine Squirrel. These Squirrels will be heard every morning and all throughout the day in the structure and sometimes at night. They love to go up and down walls.  Very vocal they can be heard with chattering that annoys every wildlife control specialist while working on the job.  If you have these little Squirrels in the structure a complete exclusion and trapping is a must, sealing the home is a must or they will be back in!  The job has to be done the right way or the customer will have them for a long time.  We offer 2 Year Warranties on all our Red Pine Squirrel jobs.

Flying Squirrels are the “little squirrels of the night” here in New Jersey. These little squirrels are abundant. Yet because they only are active at night, most NJ folks have no idea they are around.  They are mainly in the homes from the middle of September to late May early June. Although, they will still go into houses in the summer months when bad summer rains and winds cause them to move in for a few days.   They are a small squirrel and are a very social squirrel.  A family group in the fall can range from 2 to 8 and in the winter numbers can range from 10 to 30 plus on any given night. They do not have the territory instincts as the Grey Squirrel and Red Pine Squirrels.  The average hole for a Flying Squirrel is around the size of a quarter to half dollar.  Many times we get calls in the middle of the night from customers telling us they have a baby squirrel running around the bed room. When I ask do they have big eyes and the answer is yes well it is not a baby squirrel, it’s a Flying Squirrel.  Because of their size the squirrels dropping are not much bigger than a large mouse dropping.   Many Pest Control and inexperienced Wildlife Operators will think the home has a bad mouse problem. Because the noise is always at night and the dropping size smaller than a Grey Squirrels.  When you call ACP we will know many times if you have Flying Squirrels while we are asking questions and the answers you give while still on the phone. We offer two year warranties on Flying Squirrel jobs but most will not need our service again for many years to come.  Signs that Flying Squirrels are waking you up and not mice are a lot of noise at night for 2 to 4 nights in a row then nothing for a few nights. The noise sounds like marbles rolling around. High pitched chirps. The noise and activity is strongest during bad weather nights. Noise goes away for a day or 2 after you go into the attic to look around and can’t find anything.  Sounds like a “PARTY” in the attic!  Just a few of the things we hear from customers. Ron is called the “Squirrel Man” not only because of the Grey Squirrel but also the Flying Squirrel.  The Flying Squirrel is ACP’S second most dealt with squirrel. Controlling them with only proven methods and years of squirrel control experience behind us.
